This July in Washington D.C., the largest ever Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference attracted a crowd of more than 14,000 partners and Microsoft team members. This year's conference centered around the topic of 'cloud computing'. Microsoft stated that they were "all in" for cloud and backed the message up by publishing several cloud initiatives linked to Azure platform.
Frends met 1-to-1 with BizTalk product group leaders and took part in Award Winners' activities. "One of the most important goals we had for WPC was to land our vision for the cloud today, with a key focus on Bob Muglia's keynote to set the context and the tone for all the rest of the interactions we had", summarized Jaime Perena, Sr. Manager with the Application Platform team at Microsoft Corp.
The intense four-day conference included i.a. keynote sessions, discussions with Microsoft product teams and partner interactions. One of the undisputed highlights of the event was the President Bill Clinton's speech "Embracing our common humanity."

Microsoft Product groups were visibly present at the WPC2010: Server and Tools had nearly 80 session, 500 partner meetings and vibrant booth presence in the expo. Frends team met with Jaime Perena (right) at the expo hall.
